Instructions
1. Preparation
Remove the steak from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30-60 minutes.

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Pat the steak dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
Generously season both sides of the steak with 1 Tbs each side of Pyramid and Veil's Traditional Steakhouse Seasoning Recipe no. 1.
2. Searing the Steak
Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until it is very hot.
Add a tablespoon of oil to the skillet and swirl to coat the bottom.
Carefully place the steak in the skillet and sear for about 1-3 minutes without moving it, until a golden-brown crust forms.
Flip the steak using tongs and sear the other side for another 1-3 minutes.
3. Finishing in the Oven
If desired, add a tablespoon of butter and fresh herbs to the pan for added flavor. This helps baste the meat to make sure the steak is flavorful and juicy.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Make sure you use a cast iron skillet and that the handle is not plastic because it will melt in the oven.
Cook in the oven until the steak reaches your desired internal temperature you take with your meat thermometer. If yours isn't digital make sure you leave it in long enough to get an accurate measurement. Usually it can take anywhere from 5-12 minutes to achieve the desired temperatures below based on steak thickness and where on the scale from Rare to Well and in between that you desire.:
Rare: 125°F (52°C)
Medium Rare: 135°F (57°C)
Medium: 145°F (63°C)
Medium Well: 150°F (66°C)
Well Done: 160°F (71°C)

4. Resting and Serving
Remove the steak from the oven and let it rest for about 5-10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
Slice against the grain and serve with your choice of sides.
Tips
Use a meat thermometer for accurate temperature readings.
Letting the steak rest is crucial for a juicy result.
Experiment with different seasonings or marinades for added flavor.
