Preparation

Compound Butter defined, what is it?
Compound butter is salted butter that has been combined with additional herbs and seasonings for premium flavor when paired with a steak after it has cooked. Either if you have finished up a grilling session or you've pan seared a steak for a unforgettable crust and then finished it off in the oven to get it to temperature just like a Classic Steakhouse would, the compound butter will elevate your taste profile considerably. This is the exact method used by major Steakhouses that have locations around the world. It may seem a bit unconventional at first, but try it with a small amount and you will be more than pleased. If you’ve ever made garlic butter, this is the ultimate version to take your experience up to eleven. Compound butter can be made with all sorts of herbs and seasonings.
Why Is This Butter So Good On Steak?

This idea can seem foreign for some but it is definitely worth the effort. This butter is the perfect addition to Pyramid and Veil's Classic Steak Rub. In addition to some salt and pepper, you’ll be seasoning it with fresh garlic, parsley, chives, and rosemary.
First things first, go to your local grocery store or dairy food store and purchase a good quality butter that is salted. Some of the better quality brands offer the shape of a large slab or even rolled butter which can be a sign of attention to proper manufacturing and fresh ingredients for a traditional sign of good dairy products.
What you want to do is let your butter sit in a bowl at room temperature for about 2 hours. Make sure you have your bowl covered with plastic wrap, butchers paper, or parchment as options. Get a mixing spoon and combine the following ingredients to create your first experience creating rolled compound butter infused with herbs and spices which will frame your excellent cut of meat with Pyramid and Veil's Traditional Steakhouse Seasoning Recipe no. 1. This is the tantamount combination of flavors that will elevate your palate to something that will not only rival a perfect fine dining steakhouse restaurant, it will make you wish to design your grilling and searing skills so that your creations in the kitchen or backyard will be so much better than those restaurants that claim to cook the best meat in the world. Believe this, I was one that didn't think I could ever top a Ruth's Chris or Morton's Steakhouse designed and cooked steak because these restaurants are master's at their craft. All you need to start making steaks that make your mouth water and wonder why you ever wasted money and time on reservations.
Be reasonable though. This level of skill does not happen overnight, but with the right tools, techniques, and ingredients, your dining experience at home or with colleagues, work friends, relatives, or friends will all notice a distinct shift that no other large chain steakhouse can compare. All you need is a good cut of meat, the proper cooking method that you choose: either grilling or pan searing, then finishing off the proper temperature desired in the oven. I will make sure all the details are included in the recipes section so you can become a steakhouse master and commander at the comfort of home.
Combine all ingredients in the bowl with the softened butter. Then take a spatula or mixing spoon and mix the butter, herbs, and spices, well so that you have even amounts of all ingredients incorporated within your compound butter mixing bowl.

When everything looks thoroughly incorporated, then get a sheet of wax paper that is at least 12 inches long. Take the wax paper and set it in front of you with ample space to roll your butter for a diameter of approximately 3 inches. Scoop your mixture on to the wax paper in a line or tube that is the width of the roll and 3" in diameter. then gently a carefully roll the wax paper around your compound rolled butter until the entire length of 12" has been completely encapsulated the butter roll. Make sure the ends of the wax paper have been pinched and folded with tape or set an item on the ends to make sure all your ingredients stay withing your rolled compound butter tube.
Interestingly butter used to be made long ago with this method primarily and rolled butter was the only way to purchase this dairy item at your grocery store or delivered from the milk man. This is a detail that adds reverence to methods from days of yore that used process and ingredients that will make the difference between a standard steak at home that is basic and nothing to be excited about and the alternative is a steakhouse find dining experience that elevates your culinary flavors and profiles so much that you wonder why you ever went to a find dining destination or got reservations in the first place. This is the value that Pyramid and Veil has designed so that loyal customers around the world can enjoy their steak and eat it too with delivery that's reliable like clockwork, customer services that meets expectations every single time, and quality that gives you the reason to establish Pyramid and Veil as your major steak seasoning manufacturer.
Keep your butter in the fridge for at least 4 hours and then when you have cooked your steak, cut a coin of butter of your rolled compound butter creation that is infused with herbs and spices at the thickness you desire. Usually most cut about 1/8th-1/4th of an inch thick, but let your tastebuds tell you what thickness gives you maximum flavor balance and something to enjoy for a lifetime. This little tip and trick will be something in your toolkit that will allow you to differentiate your skill and technique to rival and surpass any major steakhouse once you use the Pyramid and Veil steak seasoning on your steak before you cook it. Then once your steak is cooked, you should let it rest on a plate covered with tin foil for approximately 3-5 minutes with a coin of compound butter you've made on each one. This allows for maximum flavor and a juicy steak bite every time. You will never have a dry steak again as long as you cook it to your desired temperature. Enjoy and remember, a life without reservations is a treasure worth seeking. That is our promise.
