Ingredients
Beer Battered Onion Rings with Texas Petal Aioli

Ingredients
For the Beer Battered Onion Rings:
2 large onions, sliced into rings
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup beer (lager or pale ale works best)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Vegetable oil for frying
For the Texas Petal Aioli:
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon finely chopped pickles
1 teaspoon hot sauce (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preparing the Onion Rings:
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Gradually add the beer to the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth. The batter should be thick enough to coat the onion rings.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
Dip each onion ring into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, and carefully place them in the hot oil.
Fry the onion rings in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Making the Texas Petal Aioli:
In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, chopped pickles, hot sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
Serving
Serve the crispy beer battered onion rings hot with a side of Texas petal aioli for dipping. Enjoy your delicious snack!
